Who am I?
A wildlife and people photographer based in the heart of Tanzania.

For nearly two decades I have worked closely with safari companies and lodges, capturing the raw beauty of the African wilderness through my lens.
Inspired by my father's love for nature, I began this journey at a young age, and over the years photography has become more than a profession, it is my way of connecting people to the natural world. My work has been featured in renowned publications, helping share the magic of Africa with a global audience.
I believe in using my photography not for recognition, but to inspire conservation and appreciation for our planet. Through every image I aim to create lasting memories and help preserve nature for future generations.
Join me as we explore, capture and protect the wild wonders of Africa, one frame at a time.

In the field
At home in the early light
Most of the work happens before the rest of camp is awake. The best light is brief, the animals are unhurried, and the frame you want is rarely the one in front of you when you arrive, so I plan around it and wait.
Two decades in, that patience covers a lot of ground: game drives and walking safaris, hospitality and events, weddings in the bush, and, as a licensed drone pilot, the aerial perspective when a place is best understood from above.
Mission
Connecting souls, naturally
In every click I aim to capture the essence of the wild, preserving moments that speak louder than words, from the Serengeti's animals to the vibrant cultures of Tanzania.
What I do best
Streamline creativity, empower changemakers
One project at a time, with the planning done up front so the shoot itself stays calm and the light is never wasted.
Best-fit clients
Legendary, changemakers, visionaries
Camps, lodges, safari operators and couples who care as much about how a place feels as about how it looks.
Beyond photography
A visual odyssey
Beyond being a photographer I am a storyteller, weaving narratives that bridge the gap between the viewer and the wild. My work is an invitation to witness the magic of Africa, to feel the pulse of its landscapes and the heartbeat of its wildlife.
As I navigate the scenes of Tanzania, I invite you to join me on this visual journey. Each photograph is a story waiting to be told, and I am here to document the raw, authentic beauty that surrounds us.

At Karibu Camps & Lodges, we've had the privilege of having George, an exceptionally talented photographer, capture the essence of our properties and the majestic wildlife of the Serengeti. His keen eye and instinct for the perfect shot have consistently showcased our properties in the most enchanting light, inviting viewers to step into the magical world we are fortunate to call home. Moreover, George's professionalism and work ethic are as remarkable as his photography skills. His understanding of the dynamic environment of the Serengeti, coupled with his respect for the natural world and our guests, makes him an invaluable asset. George knows precisely what to look for, from the grandeur of the landscape to the intricate details that make a photograph come alive. His contributions have not only enhanced the experience of our guests, who leave with beautiful mementos but have also greatly assisted in our marketing efforts, allowing us to visually communicate the unique experience that Karibu Camps & Lodges offers. Partnership
Merit Concept

Since 2022 I have worked hand in hand with Merit Concept, a Tanzanian creative and media agency. Together we have delivered photography across wildlife, events and property shoots, with a particular focus on the hospitality industry, the camps, lodges and safari operators who need to look as good online as they do in person.
The partnership is also why I can offer more than photographs. The website your pictures live on and the social feed that keeps working between shoots are built together with Merit Concept, so a lodge can come to one place for the imagery, the site and the story around both, rather than stitching three suppliers together.
It is a relationship built on trust and a shared standard for the work, and it continues today, this very site among it.
