Case study

A safari and Kilimanjaro operator with real itineraries and real photography, and a template that hid both. We rebuilt the site around the trips themselves.

The challenge

Legacy Destinations runs bespoke safaris, Kilimanjaro treks and East African journeys out of Arusha, the kind of trips people plan for years and pay for before they have left home. But the old site looked like every other operator's: a generic template that buried the itineraries and flattened the photography, giving a first-time visitor no reason to trust it over the dozen other tabs they had open.

What we did

  1. 01

    Structured around the journey

Tours, destinations and experiences each browse on their own terms, so a visitor arrives on a destination, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, rather than a flat menu of packages. The architecture follows how people actually choose a trip.

  2. 02

    Photography leads

The site is built so the imagery carries the page rather than sitting in a sidebar. Full-bleed frames, room to breathe, and a restraint that lets the wilderness do the selling.

  3. 03

    Fast where it matters

Mobile-first and built to hold up on the connections guests actually browse on, in Arusha, on the road, and on the patchy signal of a lodge, not just on office fibre.

  4. 04

    Made to convert

Enquiry and booking routed straight to the team, and search set up so Legacy is findable for the trips they want to sell rather than lost beneath the aggregators.

  5. 05

    Handed over, not held hostage

Domain, hosting and email configured and handed across, with the team shown how to keep the site current without calling us for every edit.

The result

Legacy now reads like the trips it sells: a destination-led site where the photography and the itineraries are the first thing you meet, not the last thing you find. Enquiries land with the team, and the brand finally looks the part it plays in person.
